About us and the Missionary purpose

WE ARE Melodie and Sergio Patzer and our daughter Emily. We are of Argentine and German citizenship, both of us, Sergio and Melodie, were born and raised in Argentina, where we also came to faith in the 'Churches of God' of this country. There we began our spiritual development, which we continued for about a decade in the Bible institute and in the Churches of God in Germany. 

We are currently missionaries with the German mission organization KONTAKTMISSION since January 2017. For seven years (2017–2023), we were located in the Amazon region, in the north of Brazil, in the state of Pará.

In the year 2024 we were located in the northeast of Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the city of Serrinha.

And urrently, we are in the south of Brazil, in the Triple Frontier region between Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil, in the city of Santa Terezinha de Itaipu, in the state of Paraná.

THE PURPOSE of our missionary project "his traces" is, in the first place, to try ourselves, with humility, to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Then, with our theological preparation, as well as the different gifts, talents and spiritual resources that the Lord has placed at our disposal, we try to leave a trace of Christ in the lives of those He places on our path of service. With an special eye on those who have not yet had the privilege of knowing or understanding the good news of Jesus Christ. Understanding that his footprints, those that are born of his Spirit, are always "eternal footprints".

IN PRACTICE, visiting and having contact with brothers and churches in different places, getting to know them personally and living the unity in Christ beyond our borders, is a fundamental part of our mission as a family. It is also part of the essence of our missionary organization, the "Kontaktmission", as well as of our worldwide churches, the "Church of God".

Either with some of our own projects, or supporting some existing regional work, independently of the region where we are located, our missionary service is mainly carried out within two ministries (areas of service):

1) LEARNINGS

> Theological support: through the transmission of our learnings in local institutes and through different types of preaching, talks, videos and writings.

2) VISITS AND EVENTS

> Visits and general support in services and events of churches, Christian groups, and organizations in the regions we pass through, through: personal contact, missionary counseling, social support, translations, music, and art.

Our capacities, time and financial resources are limited, so the intensity devoted to each service area varies according to location, local needs and the resources available to us at any given time.
