"Gears"

This project is designed only in Spanish and Portuguese, focused mainly for the Latin American context.

This is an awareness-raising course on the importance of resources of all kinds for carrying out mission projects and for the work of the congregation in general.

SOME TOPICS ADDRESSED BY GEARS:

• The understanding of the spiritual gear of missions.
• The general mission of the Church and the specific mission of each Christian.
• Celibacy, marriage, and family.
• The different contexts of missions: different cultures, climates, languages, methods, theological understandings, etc.
• Missions and abilities, talents, and gifts acquired or received.
• Faith and Mission.
• Resources for maintaining the temple and advancing the Kingdom of God: What were tithes and offerings for in the Old Testament? What are financial resources for in the New Testament?
• Is ministerial service work? Should it be done freely or also have financial compensation?
• What variables sustain a mission or ministry?
• The deceptions and dangers of false teachings about faith and economic prosperity.
• The importance of good teaching on this topic so that missions can flourish and bear fruit.
