First report of the year

HOLIDAYS AND FAMILY

At the beginning of this year, after a long time, we had a couple of weeks of vacation with our families in the province of Misiones, Argentina. We are grateful to God for that time!

MONTE CARLO

The Church of God in the city of Monte Carlo, pastored by Pastor Daniel Chetti, together with his leadership team, gave us access to their park so we could spend part of that family time there.

They later also invited us to join them in some of their activities and in a service there. We are very grateful to all the brothers and sisters for their constant love.

DANIEL WARNER INSTITUTE

After that, we traveled to the city of Posadas, where we were hosted at the Institute of the Church of God in Argentina. We spent the remainder of our vacation and family time there, and from there we also departed for some visits and missionary activities.

Pastor Matías Zilke is the current director of the Institute, and together with his wife Cintia, they are responsible for the work there. We thank them for the lodging and the time together; these were moments of relaxation as well as deep conversations about the importance of the Church's teaching in today's times.

ENCARNACIÓN

We also had the opportunity to spend a few days in the city of Encarnación, Paraguay, where Pastors Daniel and Rosi McDonald welcomed us. With them, we were able to learn more about the culture of this beautiful city, as well as the work of the Church there—a young church of just over 20 years that has grown very well during that period. They are also finishing a beautiful building with the capacity to host hundreds of visitors in their services, as well as carry out various church activities.

A very productive and special time with the pastors and brothers and sisters in Encarnación, Paraguay.

LITTLE JERUTI

In Paraguay, we also made a quick visit to a longtime friend of Melodie, whom many brothers and sisters in Germany know, since they attended Bible school together there in Germany: Nila Kurrle, who after many years of prayer was blessed together with her husband Ricardo with the birth of their son, little Jeruti : )

We rejoiced with them; for Melodie especially, it was a very, very special moment.

CIID MISSIONS DEPARTMENT

During that time, we also had the opportunity to meet personally with part of the team of the CIID Missions Department—Pastor Mónica Fischer in the city of Posadas, Argentina, and leader Jefry Abreu in the city of Encarnación, Paraguay.

Together with the whole team, we continue working on the initiatives of this department.

GARUPÁ

We also had the opportunity to spend a good time and participate with Pastors Ernesto and Mabel Gonzáles and with the brothers and sisters of the church in the city of Garupá, Misiones, Argentina. This church is very special to us, as it was where I took my first steps in the faith (writes Sergio).

RONDON

Lastly, in this report, Melodie, together with a group from the church here in Santa Terezinha, participated in a blessed youth gathering at the Church of God in Marechal Cândido Rondon, Brazil, where she was also invited to preach in the main service of the event. We thank Pastors Lucas and Mónica Arnt, who lead this youth ministry, for their affection and their consistent ministerial support toward us.

The motivation of everyone is that the Word of our God may increasingly shape this new generation of young people in His Church in the region.

GRATEFUL

We are very grateful for each of the experiences of these past months. We pray and ask for your prayers for each of the ministries in these places, so that the Lord may guide and bless each one according to His holy will.
